Tool review

Claude Code is interesting for QA because it can work inside the repository and execute the loop—not just suggest text.

Anthropic describes Claude Code as an agentic coding tool that can inspect codebases, edit files, write and run tests, debug and work through terminal/repository tasks. That makes verification and permission boundaries especially important.

QA tasks I would delegate first

Safety matters more with agents

A tool that can run commands and modify files has a larger blast radius than autocomplete. Use version control, review diffs, restrict permissions where appropriate and require tests to prove the change.

QA-specific trapPassing generated tests are not automatically good tests. An agent can weaken an assertion or change setup to make a failure disappear. Review the behavioral intent, not just the green status.
